When my younger cousin kept asking me to take her to see the dinosaurs I thought she had gone mad. Dinosaurs in Kuwait? I've lived here half my life and I had never been to a natural history museum in this country. You can imagine the look on my face when she finally dragged me to the Abdallah Al Salem Cultural Center. As it turned out, the Dinosaurs were just the tip of the iceberg. I cannot begin to describe the level of respect and admiration I have for the organizers and contributors that made this Center possible. Six large pavilions each dedicated to a mind enriching theme that provides its visitors with loads of fun facts and wondrous food for thought. From Natural History, to Science and Technology, to Islamic Culture and Space Exploration. DO NOT EXPECT TO BE DONE WITH ALL THE EXHIBITS IN ONE VISIT. You have been fairly warned. There are numerous educational and inspirational presentations, experiences, and events that are bound to capture the imagination and curiosity of both old and young.

Not to be missed. You'll need several hours if you plan to walk through the Venter quickly. A couple of days if you want the full experience. Each of the 6 halls is filled with informative displays. Many are interactive. The halls contain 4 museums; Space, Science and Technology, Natural History and Arabic Islamic Science with the attached Fine Art Centre. There are cafes if you need a stimulant to push you though the day. The only negative aspect is the early closing time of 7 pm on regular days. Thoroughly recommended.

A great place for kids and also adults. It’s a big place with 6 buildings each is about a subject (technology, history, earth..etc). A very interesting place and enjoyable you won’t feel the time there. It’s really big so if you want to see all the sections you’ll need 2 days. They bring some cool artists or do some small courses kind events from time to time so make sure to check their instagram account before you go. Note:( food/drinks aren’t allowed in any building even if you bought it from one of them you can’t go to another section with it, so remember that before buying anything if you weren’t planning on taking a break)

Fantastic modern facility. Lots of interactive exhibits bound to capture the imagination of all ages. Plenty of parking space available. Be prepared to spend upward of 4-5 hours if you're going to properly see all the installations. There are quite a few benches and seating areas available around the museum of all the walking gets to you. Ticket have to be purchased while entering the car park. Ticket for adults is KD 3.

Awesome place !!! Must take your children aged 5 and above to see and experience the different museums around .... we were so happy to see the live size fossils, extinct animals, learn ways to save our planet, fact on robotics, science, transportation as well as enjoy the beautiful outdoors. We didn’t have time to visit the space museum but definitely going there again to hear the visuals and read facts on every display and learn more. It’s the biggest and best museum in the Middle East !!!
